You, the customer, agree that you are the legal registered owner of this vehicle and have authority to enter into this Agreement or have been authorized by the legal owner of the vehicle(s) to enter into this Agreement with United Freight of America, Corp., otherwise referred to as “UFA” or “UFA Services.”
UFA’s U.S. Department of Transportation Broker's License number is 680734 and is bonded and insured through Pacific Financial Association.
UFA offers several types of services including but not limited to: Standard, Expedited, Enclosed Transport and International Transport. Prices vary depending on the type of service chosen. Expedited and Enclosed services require an additional fee above the original quote provided as follows: Standard Service original quote amount. Estimated pick up within 3 business days.Transported on an open trailer. Expedited Service - starting at $250.00 additional from original quoted price - Guaranteed pick up within 24 hours.Enclosed Transport - Based on availability. Ask your representative for price quote.
All prices given for international transports arriving in designated foreign country will be for door to port transport unless otherwise noted. UFA will not be responsible for demurrage at any port facility.
The carrier will inform the customer prior to pick up or delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to have the full payment at that time in the form of cash, cashier's check or bank or postal money order only, unless prior arrangements are made with your sales representative. UFA or its Agents do not guarantee a specific pickup or delivery date. Many variables determine these dates such as, traffic, weather, drop off points along the delivery route, etc. As a licensed broker, UFA reserves the right to assign this estimate to one of our agents. UFA works solely with certified and insured agents.
Prices given are for running vehicles unless otherwise noted as inoperable. If your vehicle(s) is inoperable or is oversized please inquire as to extra charges. If carrier is not advised of inoperable or oversized vehicles prior to pick up, all extra charges must be paid in cash, certified check or money order at the time of delivery. Vehicles must be tendered to carrier in good running condition (unless otherwise noted) with no more than a half tank of fuel (prefer 1/4 tank).
Customer warrants that he will pay the price quoted due to UFA for delivered vehicles, and will not seek to charge back a credit card payment or stop a check to offset any dispute for damage claims or any other reason. If a charge back is initiated after the vehicle(s) has been delivered, customer will be responsible to pay all fees associated with the charge back.
All vehicles represented on order do not have additional effects such as low clearance, roll and/or light bars, camper top, or pickup truck shell, extended body or roof line, over sized tires, lift kits or lowered suspension. All vehicles must have clearance of at least 6 inches from the ground in order to be loaded on to an open car carrier. All modifications must be noted by the reservation department and it may affect the price. Any misrepresentations of vehicle(s) will terminate this order and the cancellation fee will be applied.
No items may be packed in the front or back seats of the vehicle(s). No electronic equipment, valuables, plants, live pets, alcohol, drugs or firearms, may be left in the vehicle. Customer shall remove all non-permanent outside mounted luggage and other racks prior to shipment. Carrier will not be liable for damage caused by leaking fluids, freezing, exhaust systems, fog lights, or antennas not tied down. Carrier is not liable for personal items left in vehicle, or for damage caused to vehicle from excessive or improper loading of personal items. No personal items may be placed inside the vehicle or in the trunk of any vehicles that are being shipped overseas, including Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Alaska.
Transporters will get as close to your door as possible for the pickup and delivery of your vehicle(s). If, for safety reasons they are not able to do so, they will ask you to meet them at a safe location to perform their duties. Customer or his agent, who has been identified in writing to UFA, shall be present at the point of pick up or delivery. If customer or his authorized agent is not present at the time of delivery, the vehicle(s) will be placed in storage at the customer's expense.
UFA does not agree to pay for your rental of a vehicle in the event of a late delivery, nor shall it be liable for failure of mechanical or operating parts of your vehicle. UFA does not offer reimbursement for rescheduled flights or any added expense caused by carrier delays.
UFA does not guarantee transport by any specific driver/carrier. Insurance for your vehicle(s) is provided by the carrier assigned to your move, however does not cover criminal acts. UFA, a broker, is restricted by law from providing insurance for your transport.
UFA will not be responsible for vandalism, acts of god (fire, flooding, hail, sand storm, tornadoes, and earthquakes) or objects flying from the road or sky during transport. Customer should maintain their own insurance for these reasons.
UFA shall not be responsible and will not be held liable for any damages caused by the carrier assigned to transport your vehicle.
In the event that damage is caused to the vehicle(s), it must be noted at the time of delivery and the driver must sign the inspection report. No claim will be honored without the driversignature. Additionally, customer must submit in writing a description of damage, clear pictures, and 2 estimates within ten (10) days of receipt of said vehicle directly to the designated carrier for any resolution to be initiated. UFA will not accept responsibility for any negligence of the assigned carrier. UFA will however assist in any way possible to resolve claim issues with the carrier. If your vehicle is valued at a higher than market rate, you should purchase a special insurance rider.
If customer chooses to expedite an order and carrier does not arrive on the specified date listed on the contract, the customer may request a refund in the amount of the expedited fee, given that the date arrived is after the guaranteed pick up date. The deposit however, will not be refunded. Due to many variables which cannot be controlled, delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.
The customer will be required to pay the deemed broker fee once a carrier is assigned to pick up the vehicle. By providing your credit card information over the telephone to a sales representative when making a reservation request, you are authorizing UFA to charge your card the agreed upon amount after a carrier has been assigned to the order. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of your vehicle(s) and may be paid by cash, cashier's check or bank or postal money order only unless prior arrangements are made with a representative from UFA. Customer understands and agrees that if payment is not ready at the time of delivery, the car will be placed in storage at the customer's expense.
The customer is responsible to have their car ready for shipping. If the carrier assigned arrives to pick up a vehicle that has been noted as operable and discovers that the vehicle is inoperable, a fee of up to $175.00 will be charged assuming the current carrier is still able to load the vehicle. If the carrier is not equipped to load an inoperable vehicle, both the inoperable fee and rescheduling fee of $150.00 may apply. If the order must be rescheduled, a new price quote may need to be provided as the original quoted price may no longer be valid.
All payments are non-refundable once UFA assigns the transport order to a carrier and full payment may be retained and considered earned by UFA. In addition, a cancellation fee of $150.00 will be charged if the order is cancelled after a carrier is scheduled.
When placing a reservation request you are authorizing UFA to work on your order and post your information on the Central Board. You are also agreeing that you will give exclusivity to UFA in order to work on your reservation request and will not allow another company to post your vehicle information. The agreement begins once the order is placed, either online or over the telephone and will continue through 7 (seven) business days after the first available date listed on the contract. If the customer's vehicle information is posted on the central board by another company after the reservation request has been made with UFA, the order will be cancelled and a cancellation fee of $150.00 may apply. If the order is cancelled during the days of exclusivity, the initial payment made will be non-refundable and a cancellation fee of $150.00 may be assessed. If an order must be placed on hold at any point, customer understands that the price may change once the hold is removed, depending on market prices. All cancellation or hold requests must be submitted in writing by fax or email.
Any refusal of allowing UFA and or the contract carrier to provide its services or any vehicle that is not prepared for pick up on the scheduled date will cause the customer to forfeit their payment and will be charged a dry run fee of $250.00 on the credit card used for the initial payment. If the customer chooses to continue with the order, a rescheduling fee of $150.00 will be charged in addition to the initial payment already paid.
This is a binding contract. By either submitting your order online, sending us your order by fax or by email, UFA understands that you are placing your order and accept the terms and conditions (in lieu of your signature) found here and on UFA‘s web site. You consent to the listed charges and agree that you have read and consent to the terms listed above. This supersedes all prior written or oral representation of UFA and constitutes the entire agreement between customer and UFA and may not be changed except in writing signed by an officer of UFA. You understand that you are hiring UFA as an agent on your behalf to locate an auto transport company to relocate your vehicle(s) and will not hold UFA liable for delays, damages and or acts of god. This agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida. The parties further agree that any legal action arising out of this Agreement shall be filed in a court of competent jurisdiction within Broward County, Florida. You hereby submit to the jurisdiction of such courts and waive any and all defenses based on lack of personal jurisdiction. UFA can only be liable for up to the amount of the listed deposit/down payment amount located on your quotation. In no case can UFA be held liable for the designated carrier's damage. UFA will provide carriers insurance certificate and carrier information should any controversy arise.
